The Continental is centrally located in the Historic District of Block Island, at the very top of High Street. It is within walking distance from the ferry, the beach and all the shops and restaurants of the town. Bed and Breakfast are provided in a home-like atmosphere.

The Continental is one of Block Island's oldest inns and is beautifully situated overlooking Continental Pond, which is surrounded by willow trees with ducks and geese in a tranquil country setting. The country style is inviting, with a large deck over-looking the pond, providing guests with a place to enjoy the view. There are shade trees and rocking chairs in the garden, also overlooking the pond

The Continental is walking distance to the village and beaches. Nearby activities include: Tennis Courts (across the road), greenway trails, many other activities.

To get to the Continental is easy. From the ferry landing, walk across the parking lot to the main street. Look to the left and there is a statue at the end of the block, which is a rotary where roads converge. Take the first right hand turn. There is an art gallery on the corner. Proceed up the hill to the very top. We are right at the top, on the crest. As you near the top, you will begin to see a large pond on the right. The Continental is right on the pond. We have the only white picket fence on High Street.
