The Inn at Old Harbor

Situated on a hill at the head of Old Harbor allowing for panoramic views, the Inn is nestled in the heart of Block Island's historic district. The finest restaurants, shopping, and beaches are just a stone's throw away.

Built in 1882, the Inn exemplifies the finest in Victorian gingerbread architecture in the Northeast. It's magnificent three-story design and positioning as the backdrop for our illustrious Statue of Rebecca make the Inn one of Block Island's most photographed landmarks.

Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the Inn houses 10 newly-renovated guest rooms. Most of the accommodations offer private baths and all are furnished with period pieces. The Inn boasts a beautiful collection of antique beds found in remote areas from western Pennsylvania up to the northern corners of Maine. One of our favorite headboards was originally an old iron estate gate craftily converted into a four-postered queensized bed. Many rooms offer private harborfront balconies presenting fabulous views of the Atlantic Ocean, Crescent Beach and Ballard's Beach, as well as the northern neck of the Island.

A continental-deluxe breakfast buffet is served each morning from 7:30 - 9:30am. The spread consists of seasonal fresh fruits, juice, cereals, oven-warmed breads, muffins, scones, coffee cakes, bagels, coffee & assorted teas. Our warm and personable Irish staff is always ready to greet you each morning with a smile and happy to service you throughout the day. Guests congregate at 5pm in our front lounge to enjoy our complimentary wine & cheese hour.

Whether chatting with friends in the guest parlor, enjoying a cool drink on the wraparound veranda, or relaxing in our airy harbor-front lounge, the atmosphere of being among friends is readily apparent. If you are looking for that perfect seaside getaway, please join us anytime between the Memorial Day Weekend and Columbus Day.
