Daily Events

• 0600 Approximate Sunrise, Web Cam starts transmitting images.
  
• 0700 Oar Restaurant opens, Marina starts to come to life.
  
• 1045 Montauk Ferry, The Viking Starship enters the Breach of the Great Salt Pond.
  
• 1100 Montauk Ferry discharges passengers at end of dock.
  
• 1115 Montauk Ferry relocates to a mooring in center of the pond.
  
• 1200 Lunch is served at the Oar Restaurant.
  
• 1615 Montauk Ferry relocates to the end of the dock to pick up returning passengers.
  
• 1630 Montauk Ferry departs for Montauk.
  
• 1900 Dinner time in the Great Salt Pond, you can smell the barbecues cooking on a hundred grills.
  
• 2030 Approximate sunset.
  
• 2045 Web Cam shuts down for the night.
  

Things to look for anytime:

The Town of New Shoreham Pump Out Vessels (there are 2 of them) pump out at a manafold on the right side of the dock just after the first ramp on the right. They each discharge a number of times a day and are often caught in the image.

Interesting vessels such as the Mystic Whaler and the Schooner Brilliant tie up to the end of the dock for the night.
